"2008" Steeds of Cedarbrook Steading
"Moan" short for Monet is in the forground above in both pictures on the right and left. Moan is a grade Quarterhorse, 8 yrs. old. We have had Moan since he was a weanling. Training began under the saddle in 2003. We have ourselves and let friends and family take him out on some trail rides in the last few years. He is calm, will go anywhere and loves to be ridden. "Cheyenne" is back left. She is a 14 yr. old Pinto grade mare. I bought her from my sister Dianne, six years ago. "Cheye" was used by Dianne's daughter for gaming at the fairs and my sister reports her to be "the fastest horse I've ever been on". December 2007 Cheye went to live with the Venne's. Taylor will be showing her for 4-H at the fair.
Cheyenne on the left and Greyboy on the right. I also bought Greyboy (not his real name as he has one of those long goofy Arab ones) from my sister Dianne. He is a 14 year old registered Arab Gelding and one of the nicest horses I've been around. His manners are perfect. I love this horse!
"Chiree" is short for Chirinda. We purchased her the fall of 2002 as a 2 year old, with the help of some of Winchester's savings. She is a big horse and perfect for Winchester as he is a big man! She is a 8 yr. old pinto with probably some draft blood and has the laid back personality to match. She was a bottle baby so has total trust of people. Her training in 2003 was very minimal with the boys crawling around on her and leading her around the pasture with one of them on her. We did some lunging with saddle and bridle. 2007 Chiree went on her first trail rides and was enjoyable and extremely comfortable.
"Cisco" came to our farm spring of 2003, along with "Sassy" and "Angel". Cisco is a 9 year old grade Quarter Horse Bay gelding. Cisco's ground training and separation from the girls, started soon after his arrival. Winter 2004 he was at Scott's the trainer for 2 months. He will never beable to be ridden more than light pleasure. He has lots of damage from a fencing accident and has a limp and scar tissue on his legs and belly.
Here's "Tootsie"! She is a small shetland Pony we acquired from the Nadeau family fall of 2002 as a weanling. She is just way too cute. We are still not sure what it is to do with her. But the boys have lots of fun leading her through obstacle courses...including the bunkhouse!

"Angel" now 9 years old, came to our farm along with her mother "Sassy" and "Cisco" in 2003. Cisco pictured below. She was already 4 years old, no training, and was pretty much a pasture ornament. She was not even halter broke. We had her professionally trained and she came back the sweetest thing in the world. Scott our trainer said this was one horse he really had to "break the code" with training. Angel has eyes that are half blue and half brown in each eye.
"Patches" is the sweetest pony in the whole world. She drives and rides and is a medium size shetland. We do not know how old she is. She came with Tootsie in 2002.
